The kind of clothes you wear is one factor that determines how comfortable and fun your hiking excursion will be. And you should dress according to the weather condition; wear thick clothing when it is cold and wear very light clothes when it is hot and sunny. The key is to dress in layers while remaining dry. With hiking pants, you will stay at a comfortable temperature throughout the activity; your legs will also be protected.

Cooling towel

A cooling towel makes hiking more comfortable. The sun can get really hot; if it does, you will want to slow down and try to protect yourself from the heat. If you start getting hot while hiking, soak your towel in water, squeeze it out, and place it on your neck or any other part of your body for a cooling and relieving effect.

Sunscreen

Overexposure to the screen can cause screenburn. It takes very little time for the skin to get sunburned, so it is necessary to rub sunscreen on your body and reapply it while hiking. The main body parts that get burned are the arms, face, and neck. However, remember to rub the top of your hand and your ears, and any other exposed areas. When buying a screenshot, get the one with at least SPF 30.

Hiking shoes

It would be best if you got sturdy hiking shoes. Ensure to get boots with ankle support and get the right size. Another thing you need is a pair of socks that can help you deal with any terrain you will be hiking in. if you are walking on a plain and easy trail, go for a lightweight shoe and if it is the opposite, then go for a thick-soled boot. Las ly, your shoes must have enough space to accommodate your socks.

Water

Your body requires a sufficient amount of water to function effectively. Going hiking without any source of clean drinking water is almost like a suicide mission. You will be parched and will need to drink water at some point. Take a bottle of water and one or two extra bottles. Avoid being dehydrated when hiking, regardless of the weather.

Take enough snacks with you; you do not want to get hungry while in the woods. Also, take a mini first aid kit for emergencies and if you sustain an injury. Lastly, hike with someone; it will be more fun and safer.
